Joe Headon explains... This sets out the many assets and qualities that St Andrews has to offer and how we can learn from the past to create a truly unique development for St Andrews West. We need to move away from the way in which recent development was delivered. Piecemeal development has done little to add to the quality of development in St Andrews. St Andrews West, through a long-term plan, affords the opportunity to ensure that St Andrew West delivers the highest quality sustainable development. New planning guidelines mean that the typical style of developments of the last 50 years will be consigned to the history books. New Planning Guidance encourages the creation of sustainable developments, planned for delivery over long timeframes, to ensure that they are adequately provided for with infrastructure and facilities. < Back
